Anngjerd Rustand INN

 

Anngjerd Rustand is a Bergen based artist. She holds an MA from Bergen National Academy of the Arts (2010) and is currently a student at academy of creative writing in Bergen. Recent exhibitions and projects include Rake Visningsrom, Trondheim; Bomuldsfabriken Kunsthall, Arendal; Den Frie Udstillingsbygning, Copenhagen; Prosjektrom Normanns, Stavanger; public works for the University of Bergen and Sunnaas Rehabilitation Hospital. She is a member of the artist group Ytter.

Rustand works with drawing, painting, text, sculpture, installation and artists books. Some recurring themes are landscapes and forces of nature, geological time, travels, mythology, the human body, animals, entropy.

For her solo show at Trykkeriet Rustand has made three large screen prints, based on small watercolour paintings. The first version of INN was a solo show at ARTendal, Bomuldsfabriken Kunsthall, in 2017. She turned the pictures into a book, printed on a risograph. At Trykkeriet she will show the new prints together with a new version of the book.

INN is also the first book published by Trippelpunkt. Trippelpunkt is a small press and an attempt to explore the field between exhibiting and publishing, and between art and literature.
