Torgrim Wahl Sund The Dust Blows Forward and the Dust Blows Back

Torgrim Wahl Sund presented the photogravure series, The Dust Blows Forward and the Dust Blows Back. The artist processed old portraits using dust and blowing them up in scale. The face, which is the part of the body where the soul is expressed, is covered with a layer of dust. The photography itself stays put to the moment it was shot, partly disappearing and other times turning itself into total abstraction. The Dust Blows Forward and the Dust Blows Back is a follow up project of the solo exhibition Cosmos & I that was exhibited at Galleri Apotheket (2010) Stokmarknes, where he showed digitalized dust .
