Ink Jet

Ink Jet is a form of printing that involves a digital printer to produce the prints. Electronically charged droplets of ink are sprayed with very high precision. Two of the biggest benefits of printing ink jet is the ability to produce a very wide color gamut and “print on demand” (ordering more prints of an edition whenever you need more).

Most projects at Trykkeriet starts using the ink jet technique either for printing finished ink jet prints on fine art paper or for printing onto transparent film which is then used as a carrier of information for other print techniques such as silkscreen, photogravure & photopolymer. Because of this, we can then digitally render projects before the projects move on to the analogue print techniques, giving the whole process a hybrid character between the digital and analogue.
